NEW YORK - A Florida doctor was convicted Monday of providing material support to terrorists by agreeing to treat injured al-Qaida fighters so they could return to Iraq to battle Americans.

Dr. Rafiq Abdus Sabir, 52, was convicted in federal court in Manhattan after a three-week trial that featured testimony by him and Ali Soufan, an FBI agent who posed as an al-Qaida recruiter in a sting operation that led to four arrests.

9. Dr Mud
Was the man that treat John Wilkes Booth's leg after he killed Lincoln (as mentioned above). After it was discovered that he helped Booth he was arrested. Thing is he was not in league with Booth or anyone else. He was just fulfilling his Hippocratic oath. A man had come to him injured and he treated him. He was throne into prison and died there. It was not until relatively recently that his name was cleared.

He is the source of the saying "My name is Mud" implying loss of reputation.

2. Wow.
If somebody told me that Al Qaida fighters were being flown into America to get medical treatment so they could return to Iraq to fight the Americans I would probably agree too, just to get the fucking crazy person to go away.

4. So now Doctors need to give a test for ideological purity before doing any treatment?

So fuck that Hippocratic Oath BS. And replace it with an oath of loyalty to the Powers That Be.

(edit for clarity, maybe)
