Since it sadly appears the DEM Congress will capitulate to Shrub's desire to not be held accountable to any time-line, the next best hope to end the war will arrive on January 20, 2009. On that day we will hopefully be swearing in the new DEM President. The 7 year anniversary of the worst foreign policy blunder in United States history will be fast approaching.

Till then, I believe even with not enough votes to over ride a veto - DEMS in opposition to a giving Shrub the blank check they promised they would not give him last November, should stand firm on principal alone. They would at least be representing the majority view and will of We The People! In caving in on the time-line, we are left looking beyond the horizon to a DEM President taking the oath of office.

What would you recommend the newly elected DEM President do on January 21, 2009 - the day after Inauguration - to end the war ASAP?
