DFLer Tarryl Clark is getting support from a political heavyweight-- former President Bill Clinton will join her at a Vikings tailgate party in Blaine on Sunday.

Clark's camp says:

A tailgate party will begin at 7:00 PM and the game begins at 7:30 PM. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken will join Tarryl Clark and supporters to watch the Vikings-Packers football game live on the big screen as well.

Football won't be the only thing on Tarryl Clark's mind when she tailgates before Sunday night's Minnesota Vikings-Green Bay Packers game.

Clark, a Minnesota state senator who's challenging Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann in the state's sixth congressional district, has some high profile Democratic surrogates joining her to tailgate and watch the NFL showdown on a big screen TV.

Those surrogates are Former President Bill Clinton and Minnesota's two Democratic senators, Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken, according to the Clark campaign.

While the race is considered competitive, top non-partisan political handicappers consider Bachmann, a two term congresswoman who is very popular with many Tea Party activists, the favored to win the contest.
