The "No on 19" onslaught has begun
in this red part of the state. Interesting how they've gone about it. There have been no political ads per se but the local TV "news" outlets are featuring all the usual suspects (Chief of Police, Sheriff, Mayor, etc.) extolling the dangers of passing Prop. 19.

The opponents aren't running the traditional political ads and I think there are a few reasons for that: 1) The last poll I saw had it leading by 11%, 2) They've been outraised in the money department by 10:1 and 3) The counter ads would make them look like fools in that the "Yes on 19" organizers actually have science to back them up not to mention millions of MM users who have been helped by it.

I think it will be fascinating to see how Prop. 19 fares in the reddest parts of the state. I honestly believe there are a lot of in-the-closet proponents. We'll see.

1. "in-the-closet proponents." I think you are right about that!
In my day-to-day encounters I find very few who oppose it, and most of those who do come around after a little brief explanation.

What the hell gives about the turn around on Prop 19???

I live in a Seniors Development and I don't know of one person in here who is against 19. Leave it to the public to vote against something that would benefit them ~~ we need the revenue but that "deamon weed" has to be stopped. What idiots.

Edit for typo
