What If...The Dems Manage To Hold Onto All Senate Seats And Pick Up Ak & La?
A wold scenario and depends on GOTV but the polls are tightening everywhere, even in La. and at this point. I think anything can happen. Alaska is a long shot but things are so crazy there that the Cons could cancel each other and the dems could win. So what would be the meme then?

5. That's 80 for a standard majority.
And everyone knows that you can't get legislation passed with a standard majority. In order to really get anything accomplished, we'll need a 91 vote hypermajority. So keep it up people, eventually we'll get some real change.

11. Sorry. I wasn't trying to be rude, just making light of a bad situation.
Some of us use our sense of humor to get by. Some of us ought to.

14. See, That's The Thing, I Haven't Pronounced TOD Yet
Not buying the media spin and when I see Nate Silver fudging the numbers the way he has been lately it gives one pause. Further, given how bad things are supposed to be, I thought Nancy Pelosi, in the face of a tornado, was amazingly calm and confident on KO last night.

17. Let's Hope You Have To Pick Up That Towel You Just Threw In
Everything I've stated is becoming a statistical reality. Fla. is the long shot and Al. is a wild card as is La. but there the race is tightening. The race in West Virginia goes back and forth and Feingold has finally gotten a foothold. A week and a half is a long time in politics. There have been a lot of misleading stories out there like the one claiming Barney Frank was in trouble when he has a double digit lead and Dingle was pronounced a has been way too soon. The dems are coming on strong while the Cons have peaked. The wind is at the dems back and even the crowd at Morning Joe is beginning to see it.

7. Then quite a few pundits will look sad on November 3 and
look like the idiots they are. I'd love to see Chuck Todd in that predicament.

13. Well So Many Of Them Base Their Predictions
On events from the past that hadn't happened before and nobody give credence to the fact that something unexpected could happen again. Nev. and Fla. are long shots at this point espc. with early voting giving the Cons in Fla. the edge, but there are 12 days to go, the Cons have peaked and the dems are on the rise. Also, op research is now bringing forth some tasty bits against the Cons and GW just handed dems a gift with his privatize SS statement.

19. They are "catapulting the propaganda" so that when the
GOP steals all the slightly close races with electronic vote hacking, they will claim it was the inevitable GOP sweep.

15. Short of an intervention by God or egregious vote manipulation Blanche Lincoln will lose.
That blows your premise. I'm pretty sure that Bennet in Colorado is gong to lose, though his numbers are better than Lincoln's. Tom Tancredo may win that one for us, as well as the governor race. Nice when some little prick Republican blows it all with his big ego. Scott McAdams is 14 points behind the leader in Alaska. How that whole write in Candidacy is gong to work is the biggest problem in that race, but now it is close to a dead tie between two Republicans, and I think Miller will win it, thought that makes me want to vomit. Hope I'm wrong.

I think Democrats can and will win some, but we are not going to sweep the table. Though it would be fun to watch the Republicans scream and threaten to secede from the union because Acorn and the New Black Panthers stole their teabags.

12. 11 days to go!
Seems the media is showing less and less of this tightening with the polls. I think the media figures if they ignore the coming election things will go back to what they were a month ago or so. Seems I'm seeing more and more Britney and Loran stories and less and less of the election.

18. Eh, it's too tall an order for an election year like this.
I'd look for a pickup in Alaska, but that's about it--I'd like to hold everywhere else we can since we're already going to lose Indiana, North Dakota, and Arkansas.
