Letter to my delegation over the bending over
Honorable US Senator,

Enough is enough. You are bending over backwards to please the President

We said, end the war, end the war now. You think this spinectomy will go well with the people who elected this new house and senate?

I have news for you, it will not

Enough is enough. It is time to stand up, and send the same bill over and over and over again, and show the President for the bully that he truly is.

Sincerely

1. hmmm...GOP lost both houses of Congress, public opposes war, Bush has record low approval...
yep, no choice but to bend over and take it up the ass.

The problem of course is not that they are afraid of Bush. they are afraid of the people who own bush.

2. We;; that and they don't have the votes to override a veto
I understand the reasons why, but that does not mean I have to like it and not send them a piece of my mind

Damn them.

They will see a third party emerge, both sides

And sadly they are not getting it

5. in one sense, Karl Rove was right about "creating reality"
Given that Dems proposal is closer to public opinion than White House, if they stuck to their guns until someone blinked, it would have to be Bush.

8. letter to my congressional misrepresentatives:
I am deeply disappointed that Democrats have dropped the timetable from the Iraq appropriation bill, which wasn’t even binding anyway.

We gave you the majority to end the war and impeach Bush, not kowtow to him.

Bush has record low approval ratings.

Polls show the American people want us to pull out of Iraq, and 70% know that the war is about oil even though you won’t talk about it.

Polls show our troops want us to pull out of Iraq.

Polls show that the Iraqis want us to pull out of Iraq.

Polls show that the rest of Arab world hates us more because of the Iraq War and want us to pull out.

The rest of the world wants us to pull out to the point that Russia and China united to ask us when we are going to leave.

You are not serving the interests of the American people and democracy when you only make token, symbolic efforts at ending the war then go ahead and rubber stamp Bush’s war to enrich his cronies.
