George W. Bush Says His “Biggest Accomplishment” Was Keeping Us “Safe”
Edited on Fri Oct-22-10 01:37 PM by kpete
we all KNOW the story...

BUSH: “I would like to be remembered as a guy who had a set of priorities, and was willing to live by those priorities,” explained Bush. “In terms of accomplishments, my biggest accomplishment is that I kept the country safe amidst a real danger.“

5. not a hint of irony
in his voice, right? i actually laughed when i read that. suddenly, i was back in opposite world, where wrong is right, up is down, war is peace, and the president on whose watch the worst terrorist attack in our history occurred, the president who gleefully sent thousands of our young to kill and die overseas in his illegal wars, says his greatest accomplishment as president was "keeping the country safe."

right.

BUSH: "I have written a book," he said. "This will come as quite a shock to some. They didn't think I could read, much less write."

16. And then he goes on to say his greatest failure was not getting to destroy Social Security...
...no mention of his administration's response to Katrina, no mention of obliviously allowing the worst-ever attack on U.S. soil (3,000 deaths).

Incidentally, didn't he once say near the end of his eight years that his greatest accomplishment was catching a seven pound fish?

19. Damn liberal media keeps insisting he was president when we were attacked
In fact the the NY Times, on Sep 12, 2001, called him "President Bush". Maybe what he meant to say was, "I let the country get attacked and still managed to get reelected the next time. Name someone else who could do that"

21. He spent 40%+ of his time away from the WH in the run-up to 9/11.
All that brush clearing at the photo-Op farm was hard work....we know you got the message...that 8/6/01 PB that you tried to keep hidden told us everything we need to know about you. If by success, you mean disaster, than you were a huge success.
