Women's Voting Expert Sees Last-Minute 'Dramatic Shift' Toward Democrats
October 22, 2010 2:27 PM

ABC’s Michael Falcone reports:

Women are beginning to “make up their minds” about the candidates they will cast their ballots for on Election Day, and that may be a good thing for Democrats, an expert on women’s voting trends said on Friday.

Page Gardner, founder of the group, “Women's Voices. Women Vote,” told ABC’s Rick Klein and Amy Walter on today’s edition of “Top Line” that recent tracking polls indicate unmarried women “now are performing at about the same levels that they were in 2008, in terms of coming back to progressive Democrats.”

She said that this demographic group, in particular, has felt the pain of the country’s economic downturn, which has led to diminished support for Democratic candidates. But Gardner said she is seeing a “dramatic shift in the past few days” among unmarried women voters.

1. I don't think it is a shift, I really think it was there all along and
the republicans and the media tried to pretend the voters were going republican to try to keep Democrats away, because they would think it wouldn't do any good, because republicans were going to win. These people are the lowest, the most criminal, the most hate and violence bunch to every occupy a space in this country. I just wish they would go away and stay away.

There are so many things that these republican organizations, the religious nuts who politic from their pulpit and the right wing blow hard spewers of crap in the media could be arrested for, and the DOJ is letting them get away with. It makes me absolutely sick to the stomach.Knowing they are doing illegal stuff and getting away with it and then they are threatening to impeach Obama and investigate Democrats on trumped up charges if they get in is sickening. Especially from the crook Issa. Who deserves to be investigated all over the place.

8. That's what my husband has been saying too southern yankee.
He believes that the Democratic party will actually pick up seats.

I don't know. Since they rig elections on those voting machines, I think any close vote will go to the RepubliCONS. Or the RepubliCONS will take it to their paid for tools the Dancing Supremes.

7. I never lost faith
While this is certainly the nastiest and ethically repugnant election I have ever seen, I've thought from the beginning of this campaign that in the end, Democrats will win.

The past several months has been like getting on a roller coaster, frightening, stomach churning, nail biting and on November 2, laughter and cheers.

November 3 we run and get in line to get on the roller coaster again for 2012....
