Ezra Klein: What life will look like if Republicans win the House

Just received this statement from Rep. Darrell Issa's office:

With NPR benefitting from the generosity of people like MoveOn.org financier George Soros, it’s obvious that NPR is now a self-sustaining entity that no longer needs to rely on federal funds. As an independent entity, they will be free to serve Mr. Soros’ far left agenda. Once NPR is free from the umbrella of accepting, receiving and being eligible for taxpayer dollars, maybe Soros can fully finance NPR’s fall schedule with spin-offs of some of America’s favorite shows such as, "Dancing with the Czars" or "Socialist Survivor" and "Lost: The Obama Presidency."

If Republicans win the House next month, Issa will chair the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which means he'll be running investigations and have full subpoena power. Should be fun!

Darrell Issa is a Perfect Ass. Did you see the scumbag "cross-examine" NASA scientists during a Congressional hearing on global warming? Issa treated NASA scientists like dirt on national television. Issa is a slick-mouthed hustler who used his fortune and connections to get Gray Davis booted from his Governorship by funding the California Recall Crap. Gray Davis would have been a hell of a lot better than Ahhhhnold.

Issa had some tramp sitting next to him and every time Issa fired off a ridiculous zinger at a NASA scientist,accusing the NASA scientist of basing his scientific opinion on purely political grounds, Issa turned back around and winked at this woman ala' George W. Bush., like he was really kickin' some NASA ass. One of the most disgusting things I've seen a politician do on TV.

7. This guy has been under criminal investigation so many

times it is amazing how he has gotten off. He was investigated for stealing a car, never proved and he tried to blame it on his brother. And I read about a lot of cheating people out of money etc. I just can't understand how he got elected, but being a crook doesn't mean anything to republicans, they vote for you anyway.

3. The Republicans aren't going to win the House

It was never a slam dunk for the GOP as the main stream media has been reporting all summer. The Tea Party hit its peak back in April and has been running down hill ever since.

As election day approaches, the poll are beginning to 'tighten'. The M$M knows it can't keep reporting fabricated Republican leads going into the election and then have to explain Democratic victories on November 3.

The solution is to get out and VOTE!

5. Issa Is A Tool...

He's thinking he'll be the new Disco Danny Burton and make life impossible for this administration. I'm glad he's coming out and saying it now...as we know the plan for the GOOP is to turn back the clock...destroy any progress made in the past two years and hope that people blame it on the Administration. What this egotistical shitstain is forgetting is that people will be watching him and his ilk a lot closer than they did in the 90s. The GOOP's House approval poll numbers are still below the Democrats and they'll be on the clock and expected to do something positive...not squander money on witch hunts. But that won't stop him...just make him look like the fool he is.

Add to this fun the division within his own corrupt party. Should teabaggers win seats their inept leadership will have to try to contain and control them. Hillarity will ensue. So Darrel, bring it on...this investigation door goes two ways. Let's not only look at the meager NPR funding it gets from the government but also the entire broadcast system that is crumbling due to debt and mismanagement. Let's reregulate ALL of broadcasting...return the public airwaves to public ownership. C'mon, Darrell I know you can do it...

6. IF they win the house....expectations on them will be even higher

by the voters who elected them.....they cannot fix this mess and will cook their goose once and for all....so...maybe "winning" will be their last gasp.
