Attack of the Black Conservatives
Sorry if that's a bad thread title, but in the last few days, we've had Juan Williams, Clarance Thomas' wife, and Stephen Broden all make moves to create media controversy that dares and challenges liberals to attack them. And no, Juan Williams is not a liberal.

I also apologize if this has already been talked about on here.

But all three of these people instigating a media frenzy within the last couple of days have purposefully made moves to irritate the left, and all have connections to hate-mongers on the right. Williams has had a connection to Fox News for a long time. Broden has had a connection to Beck. And Thomas...well, we all know about him.

Anyway, unusual events like these don't happen in concert unless they are pre-planned. I think this might be a cynical and desperate attempt by the right to depress African-American turnout by showing three prominent African-Americans being attacked from the left. Don't get me wrong...I don't think it will have any effect, but one thing I know for sure is that the GOP is counting on poor African-American turnout this year to win control of Congress. We've already seen the shadowy Hispanic group operating in Nevada telling Hispanics to stay home -- operated by a former GOP operative. Who says these assholes aren't getting creative to try and decrease black turnout?

1. Well number 1, Clarence Thomas' wife isn't black
And 2) the most prominent black person on earth is attacked fairly regularly by the left blogosphere. If anything, all it's done is make black folks even more eager to vote.

2. I know his wife isn't black
...but what she did was a move to spark media controversy against Thomas himself.

There's no other way to explain how out of the blue, just before an election, she would stir the pot after 20 years.
