If I was on their side I would find it best to let the teabaggers down gently after the election.

Are Senate Republicans backing away from promises to repeal ObamaCare? That’s the story according to Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN):

Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) recently told a group of high-dollar GOP donors that Senate Republicans would not move to fully repeal President Obama’s health care law next year, according to multiple sources who attended the event.

The junior senator from Tennessee told the gathering of donors not to worry about the incoming class of “crazier Republicans” because the majority of Senate Republicans, especially minority leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), had no intention of repealing the president’s health care bill. They instead planned to fix only the “bad parts” of the law, Corker reportedly told the group.

4. The GOP know that as long as Obama is president, he will veto.
INSTEAD, they will defund it piece by piece . They are
working toward getting a real majoirity in both houses
next time and repeal. They are going to say it but they
they believe if they can both houses in next election,
they win the Presidency. Defunding has the same effect\
temporarily as repeal.

They have not changed position. AS usual they keep their
goal just change strategy.

6. Sounds like they are scared of scaring the 65% of Americans who like health care reform.
So they'll be ambiguous about it to try and get power. Then they'll do what they want (which would be to gut health care).
