The Tea Party folks need to see it. If a Dem leader did it, they would go nuts. Imagine what Palin would do if that happened.

I'm no flag idolater, but it really doesn't sit well with me to see Sarah Palin blithely taking a Sharpie to something people have lived and died for. I would love to see an ad showing the flag raising at Iwo Jima followed by the video of Palin marking it up.

6. I think it is one thing for a "hippie" or comedian or whatever...

...to wear a flag vest or bikini. It is quite another for someone whose image is supposedly red, white, and blue patriotism to egotistically and thoughtlessly sign her name on the flag. I would never in a million years think of doing something like that, but the leader of the "patriotic" Tea Party movement? She has no problem with it.

I forgot to leave the sarcasm icon out of my post, but I am one of those guys that joined the army in 72 to stop the communist menace in VietNam.

They didn't send me there but I had patriotic fervor that wouldn't stop at that time. I still believe in the flag of the country I swore to defend.
