Jesse Jackson-Statement from 1996 |
|
There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved....

5. Jackson has put his foot in his mouth on many occasions. |
|
However Juan Willaims, that rightwing fuck, was not proclaiming how pained he was at his 'discomfort' and 'fear' when travelling with people who dress like 'muslims', he was stating it and not apologizing about it at all. He and O'Reilly were basking in their fear and loathing of muslims.
Plus Jackson doesn't work for NPR, does he?

9. No, it doesn't. Jesse Jackson owned his reaction. |

Juan Williams has not. His whole gig is slamming minorities to please the right wing. You're comparing a decent human being with a self serving hack.

I suspect NPR would have canned Williams for that one.

12. I remember reading tha quote before |
|
As I recall, it was "William Raspberry??" in the Washington Post back in the 1980s that wrote that in an op-ed column. He felt that it was a sad commentary on urban violence that he should be more fearful of one of his own race.
