"Conservatives base there ideology on what they see as reason and logic"
Edited on Sat Oct-23-10 05:15 PM by Xicano

LOL.... My head is still spinning at the level of ignorance I just read from a link a long time friend of mine (who unfortunately is a die-hard conservative) sent me. By-the-way, the misspelling in the title isn't from me. Its copied from the OP in the link. lol

So anyway just another example of how ignorant conservatives are.

Here's a couple of excerpts:

"A liberal wants the government deeply involved in our lives. It is often seen as a parent to us all—or the big tent. They believe that the government can force society to confront its ills and legislate and enforce the cures."

-snip-

At the core of it, Conservatives base there ideology on what they see as reason and logic and it is individualistic by nature, whereas a liberal's ideology is based on emotion and ideals and is collective by nature. A liberal is interested in curing society's ills by social engineering. A conservative is interested in curing society's ills by individuals exercising their own choices to better themselves.

2. I love how we're suppose to be social nannies, yet they want to legislate who can love one another,
who should or shouldn't get married and what private medical decision I made with my doctor and family in regards to reproduction.

The hypocrisy is strong on their side of the table.

3. If they needed 2+2=5 for their ideology to be valid, they would believe it.
Perfectly reasonable & logical.

6. You know, they got a million different ways to say the same fucking thing....
On and on and on and on and on....

Liberals and Nancy Pelosi and her nanny government want to give money to poor people (ni**ers) so they can stay home and watch TV and take drugs and play with their 10 children when they are not driving their new overpriced poorly built union made Cadillac to the liquor store every six hours to use those food stamps that your taxes paid for.

Conservatives believe in pulling yourself up by the boot straps and taking personal responsibility in oneself and making it on your own because no one gives you anything for free.

Same fucking song, different fucking key.

Write back and tell him (or her) to kiss your welfare loving liberal ass.
Two times.

8. It's hilarious how they accuse liberals of being emotional
The whole right wing "ideology" is based on fear and hatred, two of the most widespread and destructive emotions known to mankind.

Reason and logic doesn't even enter into it. If it did the tea party asswipes wouldn't be supporting politicians who want to take away the few entitlements they have.

They're whipped up into a frenzy of fear and anger at minorities, immigrants, gays, whatever by those politicians.

10. Just replace "conservative" with "liberal"
and vice versa and it will be closer to the truth.

It's the usual opposite speak (as perfected by Rove and Beck).

Although it cut short much of what I posted. I guess it is limited on how much text can be posted and I don't feel like typing it again. lol

12. "We are logical, you are not" is typical rhetoric from the more Libertarianish Pukes.
Edited on Sat Oct-23-10 08:59 PM by Odin2005
Their usual rhetoric is that Left-Wing criticisms of Right-Wing economics is based on gut level emotions and have no place in "rational policy discussions". And I respond by accusing them of supporting sociopathic behavior because all rational arguments are ultimately based on irrational value judgments.

the stereotypical Libertarian is a logic-oriented male in a technical field who has repressed his subjective side. that is why RW assholes are so common among engineers.

14. most of the engineers I knew in college, were pretty cool guys
At least that is my take on them, and I was sort of one of them, although an astrophysics/math major. They may have been conservative, but I would not call them a$$holes. Of course, I don't know what happened to them when they got out of college and started making lots of money. That may have morphed them into a much colder "I pulled myself up by my own bootstraps, so why cannot other people?" type of person.
