In praise of Arianna Huffington |
|
What I really like about the Huffington Post is that it's not "The Nation" And I love "The Nation". There are all kinds of Progressives out yonder. It's similar to the difference between Ed Shultz and Noam Chomsky. Both are great Progressives. Very different style. Arianna appeals to the classic newspaper reader; Headlines, Sports, Entertainment, News, etc., and that format is comforting - to me anyway. Some of us "Progs" are not astro-physicists, and need a more basic format. So Thanks Arianna, I think you're swell.

1. I like Arianna Huffington too though I have not been to the post in the last few years. |

We are lucky Al Franken convinced her to jump ship from the GOP back in the 1990s.

2. The HP is one of my guilty pleasures. It's like the People Magazine of the political world. |

4. Now, that is a apt description. |

You get a little bit of everything including some crazy celebrity bullshit that's cool to waste a minute or two on.
I've seen some awesome slideshows on that site.
