WWJEndorse?
The historical record (as it exists) shows him providing both food (the loaves and fishes) and spirits (the wedding at Cana) when they were inadequate. He also raises a man from the dead and heals lepers. That's some serious shit past "Obamacare"... He endorses forgiving debt and aiding any in need (Matthew 18:23-35) and (almost the entire new testament).

So when a Republican both claims to be a "Christian" AND tries to limit OR cut food or housing or healthcare or even when they claim outrage over "welfare recipients" using benefits to buy beer, are they truly showing fidelity to the Christ they supposedly worship?

Would Jesus cut social security or food stamps? Would Jesus consign the poorest amongst us to forego medicine until in desperation and in fear of death we entered an emergency room?

Or are Republicans truly what they appear-Morons whom have never read the book they claim as their foundation? Because the Jews who follow only the teachings of the "Old Testament" have a history of altruism and charity and the Republicans of the "New Testament' have a history of penury and meanness.

I am a democrat and by no means a Christian.

They are Republicans and by no means Christian either...

Their Jesus is on our side.

1. I'm agnostic but I have studied the Bible
And there are admonitions to take care of the needy in your family, then in your church, then in your community. The "taking care of family" part has pretty much fallen by the wayside.

2. "Hey.. Fuck 'em!"...
That's from the new Republican Christian Bible...

second chapter of James, where Christ is asked what to do about the poor and hungry, and he replies....
