Breakfast with an American hero

She's about five feet tall, 87 years old, and has
no intention of retiring or being intimidated by
goons like Tony Snow or George Bush. Unlike a great
number of her successors, she is not for sale at any
price, and will not be bowed by age or intimidation.
We are proud to call her a friend (family friend since
I could walk).

She says hi to the DU and hasn't forgotten the flowers!

what a different news media it would be. If todays female journalists would use Helen Thomas as an example to follow, maybe we wouldn't have all the Barbie Doll bimbos we currently have.

I was just taking a crack at the current crop of bimbo females currently on TV who could use Helen Thomas as an example of a real journalist.
