The G-77: Good global citizens or not?
Not to be confused with the G-8 and G20, I am referring to the G-77.

I have recently become acquainted with this group and I have to say I'm a bit concerned with it, especially given that Sudan has chaired the group in the past year and we all know how evil that regime in Sudan is.

Does anyone know if the G-77 has been a force for world progress since its formation in 1963 or thereabouts or is it the last relic of the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century? Or is it just a neutral group, not really good or bad?

I just ask because I've read that they killed a more significant Copenhagen climate change conference deal and Sudan chairing it, etc.

Out of nowhere I know but just curious if anyone knows anything about what its aims are.
