I am going "lights out" on DU for Memorial Day (what are you doing?)

For me this Memorial Day is a day to mourn the loss of 3.400 plus soldiers. It is not a day to continue the ad nauseum and apparently futile criticism of the chimp-in-chief or this do-nothing Congress. I will stand with the families and friends of the fallen and mourn their loss and grieve for this country and Iraq in silence, because their are no words to assuage either the outrage or the pain felt by so many.

What are you doing?

1. I will hang a large peace sign from my window

and in doing so I believe I am honoring the fallen and those still fighting, those lives who should not be added to the 3,400.

saying goodbye to some friends.

4. Going to a military cemetery

which is located here in the area and I am going to pay tribute to my relatives and all others who gave their lives so that we may have freedoms. And I will be cursing the people in power for taking away our freedoms.
