Some congressinal reforms that showed up in my eMail that make sense...
First one is about term limits. I am not a fan of term limits so I will show all the rest.

Campaign finance reform is a joke now that the supreme Court basically said everything is legal.

A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

Congress participates in Social Security.

All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.

Something to think about...

1. How about this?
One representative for every 30,000 people?

GW seemed to think that was just about the best number for democracy, so why is it that there is but one for every 600,000 people?

2. I could easily go for those.
But how do we get Congress to agree?

For them to become law, they would have to vote in favor of these, wouldn't they?

That might just pose a problem.

:hi:
