Am I happy with Dems right now? NO. But - sadly - what is the alternative?

I can't believe so many in Teh Land of STUPID want to return to the rulers who got us into this mess in the first place. Dems need the shit slapped out of them (or some damn backbone slapped into them), but - well, going back to the criminally batshit crazy insane running things is not the answer. We need some adults in charge. I'd rather have timid adults than psychopathic ones with the mental capacity of spoiled six-year olds running the place thankyouverymuch.

Hello? That's how we GOT here. Remember? (R = reverse and D = drive and all that)

VOTE! Tell your friends, too. And your family (unless they're Republicans)

6. Don't forget to update your avatar to "I Voted"!
It's very gratifying after a heated battle to see almost everyone here change theirs. It reminds us that though we fight like cats and dogs, we're the people who actually give a damn about this stuff. Half of America doesn't even know an election is coming.

7. I voted a couple weeks ago by absentee. At least I'll be in any recount,
if it comes to that.

I can't diss the Democrats in Congress that much. Look at how much obstruction they had to any legislation they tried to pass. Once this election is over, I hope they will still be in power and can finally get something accomplished without all the "No" votes standing in the way.

16. Very red where I am too. Deep red.
All the more reason to pull the 'D' lever. I live in one of the Stupid States.

14. Straight D this time around looking at the political landscape
Sometimes I may vote for a R and an I if I think they have good ideas and seem to be an excellent candidate. But not this year... with the teabaggers infecting things and Repubs falling over themselves to be as extremist RW as they can get, no way in hell am I voting for anything without a "D" beside it.

17. There was a time when I too would have voted for an R
for a local or state office if I though they were the better candidate. Now I won't even do that. I have to question the judgment, integrity and morals of anyone who identifies with today's Republican party. I'm happily voting straight Dem this year, and can't see myself ever voting for a Republican again, for anything.

15. It is a false conservadem meme that progressives are going to
not vote.

It is curious, though, how conservadems can spend two years insulting us, calling us fucking retards and dreamy idealists, then say "but you're going to vote for us, right?"

I mean, what the fuck is that?
