Pentagon's press spinner on MSNBC

He deplores the release of documents. Congress knew how many we killed, ergo, we were not hiding it.

Geoff Morrell has one problem. When he lies, he blinks his eyes a lot.

On MSNBC, his eyes were blinking throughout.

"It is all wikileaks problem, because our enemies will be emboldened."


Wait a sec. Yesterday's NYT had a photo of a 5 yr old survivor. We killed her parents, her brothers, her sister. Without cause. She had no one left. No one at all. We lied our way into a war, we killed innocents, we destroyed their functioning society. And it is wikileaks fault when this data confirms what we suspected? Clearly those in Iraq know. Hell, they live it each and every day. Does Geoff really expect us to believe that wikileaks will have a greater impact on Iraqi citizens, than those who learn of a surviving parentless child? Who see their relatives and loved ones killed by Blackwater, and then see the US DOJ deliberately screw up the prosecution in order to protect Blackwater?

I love our troops. The best thing that could happen would be for them to come home. Now. Not December, 2011.

I hate the Pentagon. It commits crimes, both international and domestic. It concocted an illegal propaganda campaign against the American people. Even after it was called out on it, it continued. It created a complete and utter, and unnecessary, mess in Iraq. It screwed up royally in Afghanistan, removing resources, just when we could have captured bin Laden.

What wikileaks does is really important. Because, as time has repeatedly shown us, we cannot trust nor believe spinners like Geoff Morrell.
