TODAY - Sign a letter and reduce poverty through low income tax credits. Deadline for signing is COB Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 23
Congress will soon take up a tax package. Some House leaders are interested in including improvements to two tax credits, the refundable Child Tax Credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit, that provide help to very poor people - children in working families and working adults without children. If those improvements go far enough, they can lift millions of people out of poverty.
