Ummm...
The following query was sent to the local newspaper:

"Halloween falls on Sunday this year, and some of us are having a problem with celebrating such a day on the same day we should be involved in church activities. Many religions believe dressing up and trick-or-treating on Sunday is a sin. Can't the city change the celebration to Saturday night, so kids can trick-or-treat then, instead of Sunday?"

One wonders if the letter writer is related to those who suggested that astronauts going to the sun would be safer if they made the trip at night.

5. For some of us, Samhain is an important holiday and we wish you so-called Christians
would quit insulting it.

Suggestion to the letter writer -- stay out of my religion and I'll stay out of yours. I don't dress up in goofy costumes on Christmas, or go around door to door demanding handouts. I also don't ask anybody to change the day you celebrate *your* religious holiday. Keep your mitts off of mine. x(
