Teenager drives into house while texting

A 16-year-old Crystal Lake teen should have been paying attention to the road. Or the house.

An unidentified teen driver was texting while driving along Country Club Road when she left the roadway and crashed the 1998 Lexus ES300 car she was driving into a home on the 800 Block of Wedgewood Drive, Crystal Lake Police said in a release.

Neither the driver nor the single resident of the home was injured.

The driver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision and improper use of an electronic communication device.

She was released to her parents pending prosecution.

2. Agreed..Texting is very very dangerous.

This morning I saw a huge number of people driving and talking. Some did not seem to be paying any attention at all.
The picture of this car into this house in almost unbelievable.

But then when a fellow driving a train caused an accident that killed more than 20, and himself last year, that was also hard to believe.
But it happened.
