6. Affected is not the same as influenced - you can respond emotionally...
...to some part of an ad without having it influence your vote. I love political ads - some of them affect me but I have never seen an ad that influenced my vote. I've always done a lot of homework and chosen candidates based on policy positions and whether or not they can win.

7. I would have selected "thank goodness for dvr's".
We tape everything we watch, with the exception of the MSNBC channel, which stays on around my work area. Even then, I don't pay attention to any ads.

8. Can't vote because of a noncampaign ad covering the vote buttons -- but "everybody."
For the most part, the effect that GOP ads have on me is nausea.
