Rochester Area Man Charged With Threatening To Kill Former President Bush
From my local news station website:

ROCHESTER, NY-- A Greece, New York man is in custody for making threats to kill former President George W. Bush.

Investigators say Ian Rotunno, 23, made the statements on October 7, 2010 while at work.

According to the criminal complaint, following the statements made at his work, Secret Service agents and officers from the Greece Police Department went to Rotunno's apartment.

A neighbor told them she saw Rotunno leave in his vehicle.

Secret Service agents contacted Rotunno on his cell phone, where they say he became belligerent telling agents, "I'm nowhere near my home... I won't stop until I reach my grandmother's house then continue on to Washington and if anyone wants to stop me they will have to kill me."

Following the phone call, Rotunno turned himself into police.

During an interview with Secret Service agents, Rotunno told them that if he was in the same room as former President George W. Bush, he would "kill him with his bare hands".

Rotunno was later evaluated by a psychiatrist, who said in his opinion, Rotunno would fall into the category of "the next Oklahoma City bomber and was an immediate danger to federal government employees."

Rotunno was arraigned Monday. His next court appearance is November 15th.

You can read the criminal complaint in its entirety by clicking here.

As much as I am no fan of bush, I don't know what good it would do to kill him. Some of the replies to the facebook post of this were interesting. ranging from hang the guy to why make him a martyr to where were you a few years ago.

1. I don't want to see Bush harmed any more than I do Obama
or any other living president. These nuts are out of control, the hate is almost tangible. It has got to stop. What in the hell is wrong with people.

2. I'd find him not guilty by reason of insanity

and declare him to be sane and no danger to society and free him.

After all, it's the Republican way, right?

3. Delusional.
He thinks Bush still lives in Washington.

Hopefully, this guy will get the medical help he needs.

4. Dubya is an ass but we can't let people knock-off presidents.
Sitting or former.

I'm glad he's in custody.
