Rand Paul Supporter Stomps Head Of Female MoveOn Member Outside KY Debate
Edited on Mon Oct-25-10 10:39 PM by HipChick
Video in link
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/10/male-rand-paul-supporter-stomps-head-of-female-moveon-member-outside-debate.php

Josh Green flagged an incident that occurred outside of the Rand Paul-Jack Conway debate Monday night that's already dominating the news in Kentucky and could easily make headlines nationally.

As the candidates arrived, a group of Paul supporters pulled a female MoveOn member to the ground and held her there as another Paul supporter stomped on the back of her head and neck.

According to the Louisville Courier Journal, "Lauren Valle of MoveOn.org approached Paul and tried to give him an "employee of the month award" from Republicorp...a fake business MoveOn created to symbolize what it says is the merger of the GOP and business interests controlling political speech."

t the end of the clip, Valle is alert and speaking with the press. However, MoveOn's political director Ilyse Hogue tells TPM that Valle is in the hospital and they're awaiting word on her condition

1. I'm sure it won't matter
Rand Paul voters are thugs, and if you are stupid enough to even consider him, you most likely are too.

30. This won't sway anyone away from Rash Paul
I hope this thug is arrested and charged with assault, but if anyone thinks this will be some great revelation to the people of Kentucky that Mr. Paul is nothing but a pied piper of assholism to the point they reject him.....it won't.

12. The people who did this are absolute scum
and, if the story turns out to be true, deserve to be punished to the fullest extent of the law (and in my opinion, that is often not far enough). However, you can't dismiss all Paul supporters as thugs. I'm sure the vast majority of them view this act as every bit as disgusting as you do. Attack the man's message, don't make blanket statements like this that are simply not true. They hurt your cause far more than they help it.

45. Really??

The strangest episode of Paul's time at Baylor occurred one afternoon in 1983 (although memories about all of these events are understandably a bit hazy, so the date might be slightly off), when he and a NoZe brother paid a visit to a female student who was one of Paul's teammates on the Baylor swim team. According to this woman, who requested anonymity because of her current job as a clinical psychologist, "He and Randy came to my house, they knocked on my door, and then they blindfolded me, tied me up, and put me in their car. They took me to their apartment and tried to force me to take bong hits. They'd been smoking pot." After the woman refused to smoke with them, Paul and his friend put her back in their car and drove to the countryside outside of Waco, where they stopped near a creek. "They told me their god was 'Aqua Buddha' and that I needed to bow down and worship him," the woman recalls. "They blindfolded me and made me bow down to 'Aqua Buddha' in the creek. I had to say, 'I worship you Aqua Buddha, I worship you.' At Baylor, there were people actively going around trying to save you and we had to go to chapel, so worshiping idols was a big no-no."

46. That by itself certainly seems damning
and in my mind, is a pretty messed up thing to. However, if you were to read the next paragraph in the article, the woman says "They never hurt me. They didn't do anything wrong." She just agrees with my assessment of it that it is kinda fucked up.

Edited on Mon Oct-25-10 11:16 PM by ClassWarrior
Yet it's clear that Beck first attracted, then motivated a heavily armed psychopath named Byron Williams who got into a gun battle with police on his way to carry out this despicable mission for his hero Glenny.

but please don't confuse that comment as me saying it did not happen. I simply didn't know and tend not to trust the first sign of a news story as gospel truth. Seeing as there is a video out, I'm not denying it happened and I believe those who did it need to get what they deserve as a result.

I know it's a bit off topic, but since you're still here, maybe you could offer some insights as to why Glenn Beck is so popular. To me, he is an emotionally labile, incoherent nut. What do you like about Glenn Beck?

Apparently, she has pressed charges. Last I heard, the cops were looking to
identify the two men in the video; the one who wrestled her to the ground and
the other who foot stomped her body.

Both men have been identified, but I'm not sure if they've been arrested.

Undoubtedly, they both will be. It's assault and battery, no doubt.
