There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world...
and that is an idea whose time has come.
Sir Isaac Newton

The French people are manifesting this philosophy as we speak.

3. I hope so. It's way overdue
The French never take anything their government does that they do not agree with, lying down. I hope their spirit spreads across Europe and eventually over here.

I read recently that the head of the EU was warning Leaders of European countries NOT to give in 'to the people' on the austerity programs 'or else'. Essentially dismissing democracy.

This has caused a huge reaction against the EU with many citizens of various countries demanding they withdraw from the EU. When Democracies are being suppressed in order to force ordinary people to pay the debts run up by greedy Globalists, and the EU is now seen as part of the problem, I would not be surprised to see this happening.

All these 'conglomerations' such as the EU, diminishing the individual powers of sovereign nations, made it so easy for Global Capitalists to destroy the Global economy.

Time to start breaking up all these 'too big to fail' organizations so nations can return to speaking for themselves.

4. We have so much to learn about taking principled stands.
In this country, most of us looked the other way when our government tortured people and lied us into a war where our loved ones and many civilians were maimed or slaughtered. We ignore homeless people, including children. We just stare as our factories are boarded up. We allow our elected officials to be bought. No matter what our "leaders" do, only a handful of us are willing to take a stand. The rest make excuses. We should be ashamed.
