Stewart: NPR brought a tote bag to a knife fight with Fox

Williams had told Bill O'Reilly that he got nervous when he saw Muslims getting on a plane. He said, "When I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."

"That's it?" asked Stewart. "That's what got him fired?"

"Yes, it was a direct violation of NPR's 'never say anything interesting' policy," joked Samantha Bee.

"Are you kidding me, NPR? You're picking a fight with Fox News? They gave Juan Williams a $2 million contract just for you firing him!" exclaimed Stewart.

1. Watching it now.
The strangest thing was the fox news clips. The one that ended the segment was a fox idiot asking "The question this morning is NPR an agent somehow of a jihadist inquisition?"

WTF?

3. NPR needs to hit Fox with a tote bag full of bricks. Or billiard balls, padlocks, batteries, etc.

News Correspondent caught in traffic circle in DC was the highlight. NPR is not a comedy station nor does it have a media SWAT or rapid response team. NPR is an underfunded network even though on over 700 stations. Even a mild attack on NPR for putting Williams out to pasture is like the lady stomped at the Rand Paul thingy.
