Does the state of NY owe you money?
Edited on Tue Oct-26-10 10:50 AM by Renew Deal
Last night I posted this story about a homeless woman that found $10,000 that was left to her in a will. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x9387723

The state of NY has something called "Unclaimed Funds." It is unpaid wages, stock dividends, inheritance, and other money that wasn't delivered to the recipient. If you have ever lived, worked, or done business in NY, you might have money. I have found money for myself and several other people I know. Happy searching and let us know if you find anything!

2. JUst wanted to point out, the link is to the NYS Comptroller's Office -
this is the New York State government trying to locate the people who should be getting the money.

3. No, but PA owes me money and MI owes just about everyone in my family.
Wow! What a find! Thanks for prompting me to look into this.

4. missingmoney.com finds these for you
You can hit every state you've ever lived in. I had a couple hundred in "found" money in Tennessee several years back. Always a nice surprise!
