In order to claim your ticket you must arrive at the Taproot at or before the doors open at 4:00pm. You name will be on a list at the front door. There is limited seating on a first-come, first-serve basis. Everything else is standing room only.

Rachel Maddow’s live, world-wide television broadcast starts promptly at 5:00pm. No one will admitted after 4:45pm.

Tickets not claimed by 4:30pm will be released to those hoping to see the show.

The Taproot is located at 3300 Spenard Road in the old Fly By Night Club.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Please ensure that your cell phones ARE TURNED COMPLETELY OFF, as cell phones interfere with the satellite transmission of the live broadcast.

Absolutely NO TALKING while Rachel is live, unless requested to applaud, hoot and holler.

And…a reminder, Shannyn Moore’s Moore Up North will be taping Thursday, October 28 at 5:30pm at the Taproot. Please join us for our last show before the election!

I'm sure that the Tap Root has to abide by fire codes on capacity. The e-mail I got said that if you haven't picked up your tickets by 4:30, they'll give them to someone else, so there is a chance that someone who doesn't have a ticket now could get one then. I'm just so lucky I was listening to Shannyn's show yesterday morning when she announced this and got my e-mail in immediately.

According to this post at The Mudflats this morning http://www.themudflats.net/2010/10/26/open-thread-rachel-maddow-visits-mcadams-hq/ , they had thousands of requests. This is really good news for Scott.

Actually, everybody who is anybody in Anchorage was there ... Jeanne from Mudflats, Shannyn (of course), Julie Hasquet (Mark Begich's press person), my friend Diane Benson who is our lt. gov. candidate, Anchorage legend Mr. Whitekeys, state candidates, me (haha). I'll get some pictures up a little later.

I wasn't in a position to get real good shots of Rachel because of all the cameras and so on, although I did get a few, but Bill Wolff came out and talked to us for quite a while as we were waiting in line to get in (we were at the front), and I got some great pictures of him.
He was very friendly and nice. I really liked him.
