Subpoenas are simply ignored. We've been totally fucked. The Congress has made a mockery of the Constitution. Bush apparently has now officially received the dictatorship he so wanted.

3. It could be all part of the Bush-Rove evil masterplan
or just an extension of Bush's natural inertia and tendency toward rest.

Most likely a disheartening combination of the two.

5. Yep, that's about the size of it
No impeachment, no pursuit of justice, no peace. Just a continuation of the same ol' same ol'.

And sadly the Dems are going to use this failure as a selling point in voting for them next fall. "Just vote Dems into House and Senate majorities again, along with the White House, and we promise, this time we really will do something meaningful.":eyes:

My prediction if that happens; we'll still be in Iraq come 2012.

7. We have a government of Opposames. They appear to be different but
they are in collaboration with one another. America as we have been sold it to be, hasn't been America since the early 1900s and the start of the Federal Reserve.

Just wait until we find what is hidden in the Immigration bill.

16. What's hidden is slowing coming out
This includes Homeland Security, the IRS, Justice........

Immigration Bill To Collect American Info

All of the information is to be housed in a database created by the Social Security Administration that will be shared with the Department of Homeland Security, which has the authority to initiate investigations into all employers who don't participate in the system, including those who pay Johnny to mow their lawn.

The Department of Homeland Security can receive "taxpayer identity information of each person ...contains evidence of such person's failure to register and participate in the Electronic Employment Verification System."

As such, they can initiate an investigation into any person who doesn't comply with the mandatory electronic reporting system whether they are an employer or employee.

8. Impeachment is really the only solution.
I have argued against it in the past, not as a matter of law but as a matter of the political considerations and implications. But you know what? I was wrong. If Bush and Cheney are not impeached, we can kiss our Constitution goodbye. It's just a g*ddamn piece of paper to them. The only problem is, the Dems in Congress lack the spine to do it, and the Pukes lack the integrity to give impeachment the votes needed to make it stick.

We have been, and continue to be, totally screwed.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070522/ap_on_go_co/congress_murtha

WASHINGTON - House Republicans angled Tuesday to put Democrats in a no-win position: reprimand a senior colleagues or be seen as blindly excusing legislative bullying for partisan reasons.

House leaders tentatively scheduled a late Tuesday vote on a Republican move to reprimand Rep. John Murtha (news, bio, voting record), a Pennsylvania Democrat and close ally of House Speaker Hancy Pelosi, D-Calif. The GOP accuses Murtha of making a blatant threat against a Republican who challenged a pet project that Murtha wanted.

Democratic leaders said they believed they had the votes to kill the motion, but conceded that some party members were unhappy about being pressed to defend a blustery colleague known for bare-knuckled politics.

Murtha has not disputed a Republican claim that he stormed across the House floor May 17 to confront Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich. Rogers had tried unsuccessfully to strike a $23 million Murtha earmark — or narrowly targeted spending item — for a drug intelligence center in Murtha's district.

10. America deserves to fail
they're stupid enough to elect criminals to rule them like a king then so be it. They will suffer a crippling economic depression and tens of thousands will die overseas. It still won't matter to the middle america knuckle-draggers. They'll have their bibles and TVs and that's all that matters to them.

13. Speak for yourself.
I live in the Midwest, and go to church (I'm just a garden-variety Methodist, not a fundie). I live in a fairly small town now; and believe it or not, there are Bush-haters aplenty around here.
