Profitt defenders once again illustrate the difference between us and them

It's amazing to me that anyone, of any political stripe, would attempt to defend what is clearly unprovoked physical abuse. I think comments defending Profitt's actions prove, that despite their rhetoric, the right is unprincipled and morally bankrupt. Had it been someone on the left who had done this, I'm quite certain everyone here would have condemned them without reservation.
