I love this tag of yours: "Obama is not a brown-skinned anti-war socialist who gives away free healthcare. You're thinking of Jesus." - John Fugelsang
and the mosaic peace is beautiful.
So, nice set-up you got there!

I like putting a little bit of what I consider a representation of myself in my sigline... I must really like this set-up 'cuz I've had it a very long time now.
I just bought the "cosmic peace" sticker for my car! I've never, ever put a sticker on my car before. Even my Obama "sticker" is magnetic... I inherited a clean car freak gene from my dad I think:)

Edited on Wed Oct-27-10 10:55 AM by Kind of Blue
"The filing also reveals a paid staff of five people and two consultants, including campaign manager Steve Glazer, who received $30,000 in the filing period of May 23 to June 30 and $75,000 throughout the year.
Also listed in the campaign filing was a $2,796 payment to Joe Trippi & Associates, run by Democratic Internet guru Joe Trippi, which is coordinating much of Brown's new media strategy."Such little money it took for the new media strategy":eyes: http://www.fresnobee.com/2010/08/02/2027149/jerry-brown-claims-232-million.html#ixzz13ZhUIybx

That I could just envision the high-fives in the edit bay when they were putting these ads together!
I worked at the media company doing broadcast traffic for Brown's Senate 1982 race and it was a sad night downtown his election night party. I think it was the old Biltmore. Long time ago.
Anyway, he (his campaign) sent me beautiful flowers after the seemingly hundredth copy revision. This was back before email and fax. Anyone remember the old TWIX machines?

First, and most tellingly, Ms. Whitman doesn't even seem to realize who was governor at the time she moved to California. Ok, well she admitted she didn't vote so maybe she was just that clueless.
"Anything was possible". and then the lightning quick seguey to Brown's accomplishments, both stylistic (got rid of the limo) and substantial (job creation, balanced budgets) as governor.
Meg comes off looking like a fool. Brown comes off as the experienced, frugal yet innovative administrator that the state needs.
Kudos to the lean, mean, Brown team. This one's gonna hurt.

The Schwarzenegger "echo" ad and now this...
Jerry Brown knows politics.
Running a business does not qualify a person for Sacramento politics. A corporate board room looks nothing like the screaming monkey house of our term-limited state legislature. We don't need an inexperienced shit-thrower in Sacramento; there are plenty of those already. We need a Governor, someone who is skilled at the art of governing in a noisy, chaotic, and very messy democracy.

It's PERFECT.
The sad thing is that I've had this same discussion with many conservative Californian's over the years. "We need to elect more conservatives, so we can turn California back into the economic powerhouse it once was. The California I grew up in!".
Me: "Oh, you mean the 'Brown Era'".
They usually blow a brain vein at that point, as they try to credit Governor Reagan with everything good that ever happened to this state.
