Joe Miller (AK) - Burrough records now released!
The ADN has copies of Joe Miller's burrough records that were released today.
From the comments:

"....today he admitted he is not a West Point grad, he attended, never graduated. I am sure I am not the only one under the impression he was a graduate."

Go to page 24 of this 60-page document and read Joe Miller's statement about his actions. He admits getting on three computers that did not belong to him, accessing his personal website to participate in a poll for political purposes, and then clearing the cache on each computer, in addition to his own.

His words: "I lied about accessing all of the computers. I then admitted about accessing the computers, but lied about what I was doing. Finally I admitted what I did." He said he didn't know that clearing the caches would clear out everyone's passwords and IDS. "As I told you on Wednesday, I acknowledge that my access to others' computers were wrong, participating in the poll was wrong, lying was wrong, and there is absolutely no excuse for any of it."

FAIRBANKS — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller stressed the importance of having veterans serve in Congress during a Military and Veterans Town Hall meeting Saturday in Fairbanks.

A West Point graduate and tank commander during the first Gulf War, Miller told the crowd of about 60, mostly veterans, at Friends Church, that using the military merely to change governments of other countries is fiscally irresponsible and hurts service members because of the lengthy deployments.

“If we had more combat veterans in Congress, we probably wouldn’t be involved in such lengthy wars,” said Miller, who is locked in a close race with Democrat Scott McAdams and Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who is running a write-in campaign.

The candidate said the military should still be used to root out terrorists when their locations are known, and also said the U.S. must honor its commitments where troops are already deployed.

Who Is Joe Miller?
West Point and Yale Law grad, decorated veteran, judge--and Alaska's next U.S. senator?

(Update: On Tuesday, August 31, Lisa Murkowski conceded to Joe Miller following the counting of most absentee ballots.)

In what's shaping up to be the most stunning upset of the 2010 primary season, incumbent GOP senator Lisa Murkowski is trailing political newcomer Joe Miller by 1,668 votes (47,027 to 45,359), with 100 percent of precincts reporting. If Miller can hold on to his lead, as about 8,000 absentee ballots are counted in the next week or two, he'll be in prime position to win the general election and become Alaska's next U.S. senator. So who is Joe Miller? And how did he do it?

For starters, the 43 year-old Fairbanks lawyer, a father of eight and non-denominational Christian, has a sterling résumé. After graduating from West Point, Miller earned a Bronze Star fighting in the first Gulf War. He later earned his law degree from Yale and a master's degree in economics from the University of Alaska. Miller went on to serve as both a state magistrate and then a U.S. magistrate judge before stepping down from the bench to run, unsuccessfully, for state representative in 2004.
