Montana tea party splinters in two, week before election
Source: Associated Press

Helena tea party activists angry over the way a former president was ousted from the Big Sky Tea Party over anti-gay rhetoric said they are forming their own group.

Tim Ravndal has been appointed executive director of the new Lewis & Clark's Conservative Tea Party - less than two months after the Big Sky Tea Party stripped him of leadership roles over an anti-gay exchange on Facebook.

... Ravndal said in a news release issued late Monday that the new group "will never compromise the integrity of the group or its members" and urged conservatives to join the group "in the name of liberty."

The new group's website says there are 10 voting and nonvoting members. Ravndal did not return a call seeking comment.

1. It should be an expected trend ....
Given that most of them are nothing but a bunch of hotheads and haters ...

They're gonna be hating on each other real soon .... It's their job !

4. In this case, it appears some T'ers were on the side of decency.
But it's late, and I'm sleepy. I may have engaged in misconstrusion, as sassy crackpot Sarah might say.

3. When you're all about anti-socialism, it's not surprising that a collection of
people who are united in their distrust of others, would find it difficult to work well with others. I'm amazed that they've lasted this long as a political movement.

17. Thanks guys!
Nice to be noticed! Oh, I've been around and I don't see myself ever really leaving this fine establishment of progressives and liberals (and the silly trolls that still think they can get us to vote against our best interests). No better place to unload the cynicism monkey thatseem to have taken up permanent residence on my back. :-)

10. It's funny

I'm reading a book now about how Mao rose through the ranks, and it was the same shit. Idealistic groups splintering and killing each other, then another split in that group and more purging. That's the problem, these idealistic people ALL want to be in control cause they are THAT idealistic, they want it all done their way.

It's funny to see the trend continue.

12. And the TBers have no Mao-like figure.
Palin just ain't going to get it done.

There is no central figure or force to unite them.

They will fade away by Obama's second term. When the Repugs decide to try something else.

I've read a couple good books on Monster Mao. Horrifying figure, no?

I'm reading "Mao the Unknown story" now. They guy was such an imposter. I really want to read the one his personal physician wrote about him. It is pretty damming, I hear.

14. Soon there will be thousands of tea bagger groups
with one member each, because they can't get along with anybody, and they are always right.

15. When you come right down to it, the ONLY reason they became a ..
group at all, and "united" for a while was because of their distaste for a black man in the White House.

"Teabaggers are mad...now
Were You Mad When...?
After the 8 Years of the Bush/Cheney Disaster, Now You Get Mad?

You didn't get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

You didn't get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy and push us to invade Iraq.

You didn't get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.

You didn't get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.

You didn't get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us. You didn't get mad when we spent over 800 billion (and counting) on said illegal war.

You didn't get mad when Bush borrowed more money from foreign sources than the previous 42 presidents combined.

You didn't get mad when over 10 billion dollars in cash just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn't get mad when you found out we were torturing people.

You didn't get mad when Bush embraced trade and outsourcing policies that shipped 6 million American jobs out of the country.

You didn't get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.

You didn't get mad when we didn't catch Bin Laden.

You didn't get mad when Bush rang up 10 trillion dollars in combined budget and current account deficits.

You didn't get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

You didn't get mad when we let a major US city, New Orleans, drown.

You didn't get mad when we gave people who had more money than they could spend, the filthy rich, over a trillion dollars in tax breaks. You didn't get mad with the worst 8 years of job creations in several decades.

You didn't get mad when over 200,000 US citizens lost their lives because they had no health insurance.

You didn't get mad when lack of oversight and regulations from the Bush Administration caused US citizens to lose 12 trillion dollars in investments, retirement, and home values.

No...you finally got mad

When a black man was elected President and decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick.

Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, job losses by the millions, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, and the worst economic disaster since 1929 are all okay with you, but helping fellow Americans who are sick...Oh, Hell No!!"

16. Glad to see it!
And so glad those who would have the same thing happening on our side have failed.
