"Assaults from both sides of the aisle." Really??
Howard Fineman equates physical violence at a political campaign rally with a comment yelled on TV by a comedian/entertainer:

"Even though she's backing Jon Stewart's "Rally to Restore Sanity," and even though I now work for her, I had dismissed the event this Saturday on the Mall as self-indulgent, time-wasting comedy.

Until now.

The reason is that I watched two videos: one, of a thug named Tim Profitt pressing his shoe onto Lauren Valle's skull; the other, of Joy Behar calling Sharron Angle a bitch who's going to hell.

That was enough. I now think the rally is a fateful moment in this political campaign, an indispensable plea for a smidgeon of decency in a season of crazy, vicious assaults from both sides of the aisle."

1. The M$M is always doing that.
They constantly say "both sides do it" but then present no evidence that liberals ever engage in destructive behavior.

2. Some Paul Supporter who had just had foot surgery pressed charges
against a Conway supporter who supposedly stepped on her foot on purpose. There isn't any evidence of this like the outside incident, but now they can say "both sides did it".

Geez

3. Yep
I like to think of it as their little nod to the 'Fairness Doctrine'.

And for the record Behar is right - the toad out in Nevada is a bitch!

4. I can survive Joy Beher calling me a 'bitch' simply by turning off her show and ignoring her..
I can't just 'turn off and ignore' someone stomping me to death.

There is a difference

And btw, I like Joy Beher.

5. I love Jon Stewart, but he's guilty of the same thing
Giving reasons for his Rally on Sanity, he played a clip of Alan Grayson as evidence that the left is just as wacko as the right.
