http://blog.cleveland.com/letters/2010/10/better_off_than_four_years_ago.htmlThere's
dumb. There's "Too stupid to insult". There's "So dumb, they shouldn't be allowed to communicate in any way, shape or form."
And beyond that, there's Russ Csaszar from Concord Township.
Warning: The following letter plumbs unheard of depths in revisionism, delusion, logic vaulting and just plain stupidity. Read at your own risk:
Are you better off than you were four years ago? More important, is America better off?
Some will say that President Barack Obama has been in office for only two years. True. But Democrats have run Congress for four.
Obama likes to talk about the eight years of failed policies under President George W. Bush. But I recall the first six years as being pretty good. It wasn't until the Democrats took control that things turned bad.
Congress passed an $800 billion bill to stimulate job growth. At $80,000 per job, that equates to 10 million jobs. Obama claims credit for creating or "saving" 2 million to 3 million jobs. Where are the other 7 million to 8 million?
I believe Americans want jobs and freedom, not handouts from the government and the loss of freedom that comes with them. I guess we'll find out on Tuesday.
Russ Csaszar, Concord Township There aren't enough "WTF"s in the world for this one.
"I recall the first six years as being pretty good"????? HUH? So in your boarded up cave, you didn't recall a national electoral recount (caused by blatant election fraud and chicanery) being negated by a loaded Supreme Court (effectively eliminating the vote), the anemic job growth (WEAKEST after an official recession), the plundering of the treasury, trashing of rights, restarting the Cold War just for the hell of it, tax cuts geared towards the richest 2%, starting of two long term foreign occupations during a recession, layoffs galore, Reagan-style gutting of social programs, torture camps, white collar gangsterism, PATRIOT Act, domestic spying . . . and that one itty, bitty THING that happened during Bewsh II's first September in office, what was that again?
"It wasn't until the Democrats took control that things turned bad." A talking point so unfathomably stupid, logically unsound and easily debunked, it's not even worth the waste of time to dissect. Really. It ISN'T.
"At $80,000 per job, that equates to 10 million jobs" 80 thou per job? Really? In what fantasy land do you live in where such jobs are in great abundance? And the other 7 to 8 million jobs were eaten alive by unbridled capitalism's layoffs and offshoring; the whole "doing more with less for greater profit and passing the unemployment on to the worker" thing.
Two things strike me as frightening and sad: 1) People like this vote and 2) There are likely people out there that are dumber than he is. Thanks, Rupert.
