Guys... It's time to stop making fun of Kucinich |
|
I admit, I didn't take Kucinich seriously before, but after this latest betrayal-- he truly is our only hope right now.
What I've come to realize is that most of our Democratic lawmakers do not see Bush as a criminal, in fact, they like the guy! They do not see the Iraq war as one of the worst tragedies of this century. They are totally out of touch! If they truly saw the war in the same light as many of us do, they would be fighting tooth and nail to get it stopped. They alone have the power and they refuse to use it.
I now support Kucinich for 2008.

1. Kucinich was my guy in 04 and is again in 08. |
|
And hopefully again in 12 when we re-elect him.

ETA I really like Gravel too ... but Kucinich was the only one who said he supported impeachment when the current Dem candidates were asked.

4. Ideals versus Marketing |
|
This is what makes me sick about modern politics. Our current electoral process is nothing more than a giant marketing campaign. And based on that notion Kucinich is unmarketable. He is not heroic in stature. He is not charismatic. He is not larger than life. He is just about ideals. Which is really what politics should be about but hasn't been for some time now.

It would be a great and wonderful thing if he could become President, but it's not gonna happen. And for all the wrong reasons.

5. It's a damned shame that so many people LET the GOP |
|
and the M$M label Kucinich as a loser. I thought he should have been taken seriously in 2004, and I definitely think he should be taken seriously now.
There are too many sheep out there for him to be accepted as President, but he'd be a damned good influence as a VP, and he brings a great perspective to the presidential race that might influence the others.

Kucinich is the only hope this country has of righting itself. Sadly, there are far too many Americans who don't see the problems facing us clearly enough to vote for him, if they see the problems at all.
Still, he's got my vote.

it's time people gave him another look instead of just making fun of him--which is almost always about his appearance.

9. Kucinich IS the only hope of the nation and the democratic party... |
|
...at present, IMO. I might add Al Gore to that list if he decides to run, but of the current dem candidates, Dennis Kucinich is the ONLY one who represents my interests.

I came to the same realization, and it is frustrating as hell to hear people, whom I like to believe have the best intentions, rooting for these corporate shills that will only take their votes and continue down the same path of destruction.
All for their own benefit without the slightest concern for the nation of its citizens.

I voted for him in the primary back in '04...
If Gore does not jump in...Kucinich will get my vote again.

Myself and several friends of mine will not support him, mainly because of his gun stance. Forcing me to give up my pistol? Im no gun nut, but he wont even get anywhere NEAR the nomination with that nonsense. Hopefully Gore steps up...

17. I don't "make fun" of him, I just think he would be a crappy president |
|
I'd still hold my nose and vote for him if he is our nominee, but I understand why he has such little support. If I remember correctly, he got less than 4000 people to give him money in the 1st quarter. You can't blame that little level of support on the media. Hundreds of thousands of people know who he is, and very few of them want him to be president.

at this point. If he drops out then I will either go third party or not vote at all. I can't vote for people who are going to screw me over and over again.

Going from "I didn't take Kucinich seriously before" to "if he drops out then I will either go third party or not vote at all" all in a day, eh?
Enjoy your 1% Ralph Nader buddies in 2008, because Kucinich has a 0% chance of getting the nomination. For good reason. I take it he was never your mayor?

|
You don't get to shrug off war and still get my vote. Period. Too many people have died on both sides. And it's being done in MY F*CKING NAME! I was even willing to possibly overlook some of their IWR votes as long as the war came to a quick end. But not now. It's over.
