UFW on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report this Thursday

UFW on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report this Thursday

Leading up to his Keep Fear Alive march to be held on Oct. 30 at the National Mall in Washington DC, Colbert faces his fears of immigrants, gays, Muslims, robots and animal rights activists.

Representing all immigrants and farm workers, Efren Barajas, UFW National Vice President, tells Colbert there's no reason to fear immigrants. Barajas shares his experience as a young undocumented farm worker coming to the United States and living with the fear of being deported.

Watch the interview on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report this Thursday, October 28 at 11:30 p.m. EST time (in most areas-check your local listings).

Since June the UFW & its "Take Our Jobs" campaign has been featured on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report three times. In addition, Stephen Colbert testified before a congressional committee about his experience working in the fields and the need for immigration reform for farm workers.

If you are in the Washington DC area this Saturday, UFW reps will be attending Colbert's March to Keep Fear Alive. Join our delegation at this march and show people farm workers--documented or undocumented--are nothing to be afraid of.

The march to KEEP FEAR ALIVE will be taking place at the same location as Jon Stewart's rally to Restore Sanity. Let's Restore Sanity and make sure we pass AgJOBS this year so farm workers can live without fear as they continue to feed America.

Cesar Chavez's granddaughter Julie Rodriguez and UFW Foundation AZ director will lead a farm worker delegation. Meet us there! See you Saturday, October 30 at the Keep Fear Alive March.

Date: October 30, 2010

Time: 10AM

Location: National Mall, Washington, DC

Important: Meet at the corner of 4th St. NW & Madison Dr. NW.

* Look for red UFW Flags. This is the corner of East Seaton Park
