i can't seem to get over what happened in that video. it's clear she was no threat. it's like they wanted to just attack and hurt her for their own enjoyment.

that coward loser piece of shit says the girl should apologize to him ???????????? fucking loser .

i bet if there was a man who DID appear to be a threat they would have ran scared.

1. i think they picked an easy target for their coward asses
they as a mob essentially attacked her. they are cowards and no i don't think they would have had the nerve to do that to a guy. and then to expect an apology!! who does this guy think he is, dick cheney!!

3. Make an ad out of it...it make a powerful images
I think Moveon or some other progressive private group should make a printed ad, show two pictures side by side , one of the tea party guy that punched the woman in the face and one of the woman getting her head stomped . Above the pictures print something like, "Tea Party" men putting white woman in their place" and below the pictures have a caption that says something like "Don't even think about what they will do to minorities if given the chance"

4. After watching that video a couple of times, I was struck by how much it resembles videos
of cops with tasers. There seems to be some attraction to hitting/hurting somebody who is already down and controlled. You get the fun of hurting someone with none of the potential danger.

There's clear sadism.

The cop/taser videos seem pretty evenly distributed as far as the gender of the victim. But the atmosphere is clear: we are going to hurt you even though you can't hurt us. We don't care about honor or anything else. All we care about is our ability to hurt you without danger to ourselves. This is the same atmosphere in the stomping video, where at least three men are involved in what happened to the victim. It's a very low form of humanity.

I think your question is very interesting. The point of this stomping incident seems to be -- we will hurt you even if you are weaker than us and absolutely no threat to us. Women (and by extension) children are not excluded from our right to hurt anyone we want to hurt. This willingness to go ahead and hurt women is a part of social terrorism in all parts of the globe and all times in history. Letting go of the constraints of "civilization" is a very strong form of social control.

5. Well, it was a woman, not a girl. They might go after a smaller man, but not
someone their own size.

about for some people...an excuse for brownshirt tactics.

16. If they thought they had an easy target, sure, that's the way thugs work.
They look for the easy target because they're nothing more than cowards.

17. They could certainly try.
They would certainly have a fight on their hands then, too.

Not every liberal is passive. Some of us walked picket lines, and know a thing or two about handling thugs.

22. Not fighting back.
Last time someone poked his fingers in my chest, after I asked him nicely to please stop touching me, got two broken fingers.

Some would just let themselves be poked, and do nothing.

19. They could try
But had it been me, I guarantee they would have to sweep up the blood teeth and eyeballs when it was all over. I've been in a rumble or two in my day and I kinda hate to admit it, but I rather enjoyed one or two of them

21. A guy that roughs up a woman is the lowest of the low.
But the guys who approve of it get a share of that lowness too. There is no excuse for what that guy did, and his apologists can count themselves just as scummy as him.
