Rassmussen admits defeat in WV
http://politicalwire.com/archives/2010/10/27/manchin_back_in_lead_in_west_virginia.html

Rassmussen has admitted defeat in West-Viginia. There is no way it can still set the narrative; and to save its credibility, Rass has told us what we knew all along: that Governor Manchin will take Senator Byrd's place.

1. They'll increase Manchin's lead between now and election day.
That way after the election they can prove they've always been right on the mark. :eyes:

2. according to Dailykos,
they do so with every race: toward the election, Rass becomes more accurate. Early on, it's all about setting a GOP-friendly narrative. But I must say they have continued this narrative-setting for an awful long time this year. I suppose the GOP is having some trouble winning, or Rass wouldn't start so late to be less inaccurate.

5. They only think they need to be truthful with the last poll before the election.
That's because they think the election result is the only thing we have to judge them by. But we have results of other polls to compare them with. And Rasmussen favors Republicans more than any other released during the same timeframe, with rare exception.

3. Where is all the NRA money?!?!?!?
The NRA is known to basically own WV, Tenn., and Arkansas.

4. The NRA endorsed Manchin
Manchin is also no friend to those of us who oppose mountaintop mining. Unfortunately, all we can do here in WV is hold our nose and vote.

6. Agree
Wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit to see Manchin bite the dust. Can't stand him.
