are going lose if the extremists win next week is everything. As the country dissolves into separate and competing states/regions all institutions, corporations, etc will collapse. The Pentagon will exist no more. Money will have no value and federal laws will be unenforceable. It will be impossible to move food, or any other manufacture across state/international lines. Communications will end and we will not be able to contact family or friends that are not in our own area. It will be chaos and there will be violence.
Does anyone have other distopian visions of where we are headed? I don't think this train can be stopped.

8. Well, what I think will happen (dystopian musings): |
|
I think if many teabag supported candidates win, the base will be emboldened and it will strengthen their belief that they are the majority of Americans, and the "real" America.
I think if the teabaggers win pretty big, several rather radical proposals will be put on the table and some of them may even pass the House. Not sure about the Senate. And anything too radical would probably be vetoed by President Obama, and I'm guessing they wouldn't have the votes to override a veto.
I think if teabaggers win, the gridlock and rhetoric will be even worse, and the American people as a whole will lose patience as many big problems remain unsolved. I think there may be the danger then that they vote R just to try to get something - anything - done. Voting out of frustration.
I think if the teabaggers don't win the way they think they "ought" to, there will be acts of violence here and there. There are already acts of violence here and there, but I think they will increase. There might possibly be an incident like the Oklahoma City bombing or an assassination again. I hope not, but I think it's a terrible possibility and one that worries me.
Well, okay, there is my dystopian scenario.
