GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann thinks former president Bill Clinton is targeting her in an attempt to eliminate the Tea Party.

Last weekend, Clinton made his second swing through Minnesota, joining a fundraiser for Tarryl Clark in a Blaine union hall during the Vikings-Packers game. It was some high-profile help for Clark in her bid to unseat Bachmann, a popular conservative seeking her third term.

In a fundraising mailer, Bachmann said she knows why Clinton is interested in the race:

Bill Clinton has targeted me in an attempt to eliminate the Tea Party movement. He and other liberals like Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi believe if they can defeat me next Tuesday it will spell the end of the movement that is fighting back against their far-left policies.

She also implores supporters to help her fight back against the well-funded Clark, who Bachmann said is spending $42,000 a day.

That is true, but the email leaves out one detail: Bachmann is spending $187,000 a day, and at more than $11 million overall has set a record for a congressional candidate.

We're trying to track down Clinton's people for comment.
