Crist to appear on Countdown tonight.
Crist to appear on Olbermann's show. 7 points behind now.

Gov. Charlie Crist, who spent years telling folks he was a rock-ribbed Republican, makes a decidedly un-Republican like appearance tonight.

He’ll be a guest on Countdown with Keith Olbermann, the MSNBC vehicle that makes conservatives’ blood boil.

The appearance comes on the same day a Quinnipiac University poll shows Crist, who’s running as an independent, pulling within 7 percentage points of Republican Marco Rubio. Democrat Kendrick Meek has fallen to 15 percent, 27 points behind Rubio.

Florida's Reid Report has more on the poll.

It starts: Crist within 7, Meek down to 15 in Quinnipiac poll

I’ve been saying for weeks that at some point, Democrats would begin to pick a side, and that Kendrick Meek is the most vulnerable to seeing his support (mostly among white Democrats) begin to slide, as “Anybody But Rubio” voters begin to freak out in the shadow of Election Day. The latest Quinnipiac poll shows that may be starting to occur.

The poll shows Rubio still stuck at 42 percent (they don’t poll Snitker) with Charlie Crist up 5 to 35 percent, and Meek down to just 15 percent. The innards:

"In the Senate race, Rubio is carrying 77 percent of Republicans, 6 percent of Democrats and 38 percent of independent voters. Crist receives 19 percent of Republicans, 51 percent of Democrats and 43 percent of independents. Meek gets just 1 percent of Republicans, 36 percent of Democrats and 9 percent of unaffiliated voters."

4. I don't envy FL Democrats this year.
Of course, I never did and me being an Arizonan, I think you might understand why.

Hoping for the best for y'all. :hi:

5. Simple math says...
If too many people do as you did, Rubio will win. I'm not saying I blame you, I face the same dilemna, but it is true.

6. I Know
It was not easy;not easy at all. And when I had a constituent problem Charlie Christ's office was very helpful. If it's any consolation I never had the dislike for Charlie I had for other Republicans. He didn't deserve to be Tea Bagged. I hope I didn't abet them.

7. Fortunately for me, I don't have to make the decision, but I'm glad Meek stayed in the race.
At this point, though, I'm hoping that he'll throw his support to Crist on Monday night.

:hi: from another red, red state...

9. Meek needs to back Crist NOW - it's 4 days away & he has 15-18% - NO chance to win, BUT
if he doesn't back Crist, Marco F*****G Rubio, Tea Party right-wing darling will become a Senator, which is a very high honor - and I cannot imagine a worse outcome...

Please vote for Crist if you're in FL like me.

I have several friends here who are all voting for Crist as the ONLY mathematically able candidate to beat Rubio. He's 7-10 points down, and if Meek would think about Rubio or Crist (pro Gay adoption, pro Choice, for stimulus), he'd back Crist before we get stuck with Rubio for 12-24 years!!!!!!!!
