Just voted--the guy in the booth next to me (my husband) burst out laughing |

at a certain point. Yes, it was the extraterrestrial greeting committee. It is amusing, but better safe than sorry!
(no weirder than the proposition to make a fertilized zygote a legal person. Colorado is a strange place.)

1. Yes it is weirder than the proposition to make |
|
a fertilized zygote a legal person...this prop (the personhood)has a real purpose...to overturn roe v. wade and it will also make birth control pills illegal...

Isn't it a little strange that the other voter didn't know what was on the ballot before getting the ballot?
I spent a little while and getting a sample ballot to know what initiatives to vote on.
In Denver, I voted no on all of them including the space alien one.

10. The alien welcome committee prop was a last minute add in. |
|
It was never talked about, nor did the proponents have any advert money. They just got enough signatures to place it, probably at the last minute.
It surprised me too. I voted no. They land in LA, not here.

7. My guess is that makes sense as Denver is probably higher |
|
in altitude than Boulder, thus closer to the source.

12. Having never been to CO and loathe to consult a map, I took |
|
a 50/50 shot....figures I'd lose. The good news is it only cost some time and the effort to rearrange these electrons, no actual cash involved.
Two weeks away from major back surgery I'm learning to love Vicodin.

11. Denver is certainly higher. As high as the legal ounce limit can get you. |
