This whole O'Donnell/Drunk night gawker story. Why do I think she was the one that leaked it |
|
You have to understand first and foremost once O'Donnell beat Castle this seat automatically became an easy win for the Democrats. Castle has been the only successful statewide candidate in Delaware where Democrats far outweigh republicans and independents go for moderates not lunatics.
Chris Coons has played one of the cleanest elections you can imagine. He knows how the voter numbers work in the state and also feels there is enough bad stuff about O'Donnell's record to attack her without getting dirty. He's mainly push her lack of experience and her credibility issues as to why he is the better candidate then she is. It's been a pretty clean race.
So this Gawker story makes no sense. First, she didn't sleep with the guy. Second, O'Donnell has never ever had anything against drinking and finally that whole thing about her personnel care of private things is just so low and tacky you almost kinda feel sorry about her when you read the story.
Unless that's what O'Donnell wants you to feel. I mean this woman is absolutely desperate right about now. O'Donnell has not run a conventional race whatsoever so why not leak a horrible story to gain voters sympathies.
I just don't hold it past her. I know that Coons would never bother with the story and the DNC/DSCC wouldn't touch it because they already have the safe win. I just think the only person who would benefit from the Gawker story is Christine O'Donnell because it makes people feel sorry for her and once again shows the double standards that some women face in an area that tends to be dominated by men.

1. I don't think she's interested in winning...losing is a better option |
|
she'll have a job at Faux News waiting where she can spout her stupidness

4. I have a feeling that Faux may not even hire her. Karl Rove can't stand the girl |
|
and will probably do something to keep that from happening. I mean he called it the night she won the election - she's just too nutty to win the race.
Maybe CBN will hire her.

2. I think she's not interested in being a Senator, she's more interested |
|
in the vast dividends by being a Faux News talking head. She'll actually have a day job if she's a Senator and that's hard work. :D

5. I would consider it possible if she were only a few points down |
|
However, unless there's something going on with the numbers that the polls aren't showing I don't see how this reverses a 20 point deficit to where it changes the election outcome.
I think it's just some sleaze who decided to peddle a story for some cash.
Anyone who had real dirt on any sexual hypocrisy would have come out with it when she first got the nomination and not towards the end when the polls show this race as done.
