We have basically agreed to disagree about politics, but, since her husband is in the Boilermakers' union, I just could NOT resist.

I hope she doesn't get so mad at me that we're not speaking.

She used to send me all manner of right-wing crapola, and I ignored it for a long time, but then I finally started pushing back.

I can't believe what outwardly intelligent people can be hornswoggled into believing. She was valedictorian of her high school class and graduated from college magna cum laude. Yet she and her dissertation-shy-of-a-Ph.D. husband were contemplating sending money to Nigeria to help out a poor fellow whose father had died get his rightful inheritance since he intended to reward them handsomely for their "assistance" until I set her wise. Republicans!
