Why are right-wingers unhappy that the terror plot was thwarted?
Edited on Sat Oct-30-10 10:32 AM by LuckyTheDog
Based on what I see on Facebook and right-wing blogs, a lot of right-wingers are not happy that the most recent terrorist plot was thwarted. Where are the thanks to the intelligence service personnel who risk their lives to uncover things like this? Where is the anger at the terrorists? All I read are slams against Obama.

This Freeper thread illustrates what I mean: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2617361/posts

It used to be that were all Americans and able to rejoice together about our successes. Not so anymore, I guess. But get a clue, teabaggers: The terrorists are the enemy, not Obama. Are you with us or against us?

1. My thought is that they're unhappy because...
an attack on the US would have validated their ad nauseum claim that Democrats are "soft on terra".

6. Because they don't give a shit about the security of this country
and are pissed that they don't have an opportunity to make Obama look bad?

8. Giving Credit Where Credit Is Due
I thought the recent unraveling of another al-Qaidah plot by the U.S. was commendable. I think the Feds and CIA are doing a great job in that area. They have too anyway. I'm more concerned about domestic terrorism. I haven't forgot about the example of Timothy McVeigh in Oklahoma City 1995. This thread reminds me of an old editorial entitled Iran-Iraq Friendship Pact published by The Spotlight. - http://www.cincyforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=544

9. The article is very misleading. Because they did release
the type of explosives found. The article says they didn't. Gee at least Obama was on top of the situation he didn't say OK, you covered your ass go home and I'll go on vacation.
